It is a sad state of affairs that so much has to be politicized, instead of giving citizens their choice to buy local and enjoy, in an informed way, a traditional local luxury product, on which our city was actually built.
Not everyone likes cigars, they are not a product for children, and are already regulated.
But to overregulate and churn income to regulatory agencies at the expense of this established industry, and at the expense of highly informed consumers in a country that values freedom and freedom of choice is completely ludicrous.
We can walk into tobacconists and buy Cigars from all over the world, and smoke them locally, but we cannot sustain an industry to make them locally? What does that say about our society’s hypocrisy?
